Pork chops with Gustare honey glaze and apple sauce

    SERVES 4

    INGREDIENTS

    • 400g Bramley apples
    • ½ lemon
    • 1 ½ tbsp caster sugar
    • A bit of butter and salt
    • 8 pork chops
    • 1 tablespoon Gustare honey
    • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
    • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
    • 1 garlic clove, minced
    • 1⁄4 teaspoon ground ginger

    METHOD

    1. Peel and dice the apples. Put in a small pan with the juice of ½ lemon. Add 2 tbsp water and 1½ tbsp caster sugar.
    2. Heat gently until the apples are really soft, then squash with a spoon. Add a little butter and salt to serve.
    3. Preheat grill.
    4. In a small bowl, stir together all glaze ingredients: honey, soy sauce, mustard and garlic.
    5. Place the chops on the grill and spread with half the glaze.
    6. Grill for about 8 minutes.
    7. Turn over and spread with remaining glaze.
    8. Grill until cooked through, another 6-8 minutes.
    9. Serve with sauce and vegetables on the side and enjoy!
